Sir Paul McCartney to reissue solo material
Sir Paul McCartney has agreed a deal with an independent music company, which will see him re-release his back catalogue of solo and Wings material.
The Concord Music Group will physically and digitally distribute Sir Paul's post Beatles albums, which up until February, EMI Group had looked after.
Sir Paul said: "I'm always looking for new ways and opportunities to get my music to people."
Concord said Band on the Run will be released in August with bonus material.
In February, Sir Paul regained control of the library of albums he released between 1970 and 2006 from EMI, although the company still own rights to the Beatles material.
Despite that, Sir Paul has not released any new material with the label since 2007.
Memory Almost Full was put out in a joint deal with Concord and coffee chain Starbucks and Concord also released his 2009 CD and DVD combo, Good Evening New York City.
Sir Paul said he has had a "good working relationship" with the Concord and "enjoyed our mutual love of music".
The announcement coincides with the 40th anniversary of the release of Sir Paul's first solo album, McCartney.
The record, which featured the classic track Maybe I'm Amazed, went to number two in 1970.
Sir Paul follows Radiohead and the Rolling Stones, who have also left EMI, although the company still owns Radiohead's back album catalogue.
EMI, which is battling to remain independent, after breaching the terms of a loan from Citigroup Inc, has declined to comment.
